These are perfectly crunchy and delicious. This is my family’s special treat for diwali.
Ingredients:
Rice flour – 2 cups
Urad dal flour – half cup
Sesame seeds – 2 tbsp
Ajwain(- carom) -2 tsp
Salt
hot oil – 4 to 5 tbsp
Warm water to knead the dough

Procedure:
Mix rice flour, urad flour add sesame seeds , carom (substitute cumin if you don’t have carom) , salt and oil.
Now mix everything using warm water.
Add water if required while putting the dough in the murukulu maker, then press it into the hot oil.
Fry till golden brown, remove it and store them in an air-tight container after gets cooled.

we call this recipie as thene thonalu.but we will also use butter.it is very nice to make this with hot water as butter now a days is strictly avoided due to cholestral problems.
