Cinnamon Cake and Update of Sorts!!!

Hi everyone!!! I have been away from blogging for almost 3-4 months now. Let me apologize to you guys for disappearing without leaving any information. I had gone to India for 2 months and I had to take care of so many things before I left.  It was so hectic you won’t believe it. I didn’t even have time to log in and post an update. I have been back for almost a month now and we are settling in. Kids are back to school and I am back to blogging. I have so many new recipes to try, so watch out this space for lots of new recipes. After coming back from India, my hands were just itching to make something, so had to try this cake. It was super delicious, melt in the mouth kind of cake. Believe me guys on this, you need to make this cake ASAP. I got this recipe from Sarah’s blog. I am writing the recipe here, but if you want to go to the source you are more than welcome to…

cinnamon cake

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 8 ounce tub sour cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 c. powdered sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 325.  Prepare 9 x 13 pan.
In large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, oil, and sour cream.  Stir by hand until large lumps are gone.  There will still be some lumps but that’s ok.
Pour half the batter into the pan.
Now, in a medium bowl.  Take your brown sugar and cinnamon and combine.
Mix up your brown sugar and cinnamon really well.
Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture all over the batter in the cake pan.
Don’t do what I did below. Be sure to get that cinnamon mixture all the way to the edge of the pan.
Now carefully spread the other half of the batter on  top.
Don’t be

afraid, it’s gonna get really uncomfortable.

All the batter and stuff is gonna get all mixed together and you’re gonna think you are doing it all wrong.
But don’t worry how it looks.  Trust me.
Once it’s all spread around, take a butter knife and twirl it all through the batter, so it gets all swirly and stuff.
Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Just when it’s about done baking, mix together your powdered sugar, vanilla and milk.
I always use a fork to be sure all the little clumps get broken up.
Once the cake comes out of the oven, waste no time at all.
Pour this powdered sugar mixture over the warm cake.
Now sit back and wait for the wonderful crackle to appear.
Try your hardest to wait about 15 minutes before you cut into her.
If you have any favorite recipes please share it with me… Hope you make this cake and enjoy it with your loved ones as much as I did…
Till next time,
Yours truly,

H20 Cream

I always used drugstore creams to take care of my skin. Recently I realized I need to step up my skin care routine to take care of my skin. I realized there are so many creams available in the market to take care of your skin. I decided to select one and start from there. One day while I was in Kohl’s browsing I saw this cream and I already read great reviews about this cream and it was on sale, so decided to try it.

Key Ingredients: Sea Mineral Complexâ¢, Sea Fennel, Lavender, Vitamin C, Wakame, Vitamin A, Sea Lettuce, Provitamin B.

I wouldn’t say this is my holy grail product because this is the first product I am trying. It’s price is a little bit expensive I agree, but look at it this way if you buy cream once it will probably last you 6-12 months minimum, so why not invest in something good for your face once a year, that’s why decided to spend my money on it. I have been using it for past 3 months and I am pretty sure it will last me 6 more months.

What did it do to my skin???? I use it every night after cleansing my face. When I get up in the morning, my skin feels so soft and supple. It didn’t feel like this in a long time. So it’s definitely working. It is so moisturizing and hydrating to the skin.

H20 cream

A little goes a long way. If you apply a little bit more than required, you skin will feel sticky. It absorbs so quickly and you don’t feel like you put something on the skin. I really like that feeling.

Would I Repurchase it??? Yes but not immediately because as I said, this is the first cream I tried, I want to try new creams, but definitely I would purchase this again because it changed my skin for good.

If you have any favorite creams please leave a comment to let me know so that I can try it…

This is my honest opinion and no one sponsored me this product.

Maybelline New York Line Stiletto Ultimate Precision Liquid Eyeliner!!!!

Maybelline Liquid eyeliner

I am learning  a lot about make up these days. I am not an expert and I live on a budget so I decided to write about the products I am using and if they are worth the money spent on them.

I heard a lot of hype for Maybelline eyeliner, so decided to try it and see. I bought mine in brown color. At first application it looked okay. It was patchy and not dark enough for me. I was disappointed but decided to try it few more times as I already spent my money on it. Second time I tried it on, I noticed my eyeliner became lighter and lighter through out the day. I really like the brush that came with it. Third time I tried it on, my eyes became watery as I was cutting onions and that’s it my eyeliner was completely gone. Fourth time I applied it on, it came only for one eye and bottle is empty. Just 4 applications and bottle is empty. I am not ready to spend my money for such short usage.I usually like maybelline products, but this one was a disaster.

Would I repurchase this? That is a good question, but my answer is no as I am very disappointed with this.It didn’t do it’s job. If you have any favorite eyeliner, please comment below so that I can try them on.
