This is another variety of fried rice or poppu anam. Here goes the recipe:
1 cup cooked rice without any lumps
1/2 tbsp channa dal
1/2 tbsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric
Salt according to ur taste
3 tbsp of oil
1/4 cup onions
3 green chillies slit length wise
2 cloves of garlic cut into pieces
2 curry leaves
- Heat the oil.
- Add the channa dal.
- Brown the channa dal and add the onions. green chillis and curry leaves.
- Fry until onion becomes translucent.
- Add the garlic.
- Fry for few seconds.
- Add the turmeric, chilli powder, rice and salt.
- Fry for few minutes and garnish with coriander leaves.
