{September 30, 2008}   Badam milk
Ingredients:

Almonds 30

Milk 4 cups ( I used 2 cups fat free milk and 2 cups full fat milk. You can use fat free or full fat or both like me)

Saffron a pinch

Green cardamom 1

Sugar 8 tablespoons (adjust according to ur taste)

Method:

         Blanch almonds.

         Drain and peel.

         Grind them to a paste (I put them in chopper with little bit of milk.They were coaresly ground.)

          Heat milk in a thick-bottomed vessel and bring to a boil.

          Reduce heat, add almond paste and simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.

          Add saffron, green cardamom powder and mix and simmer for another 5 mts.

          Add sugar and mix and simmer for 10 mts.

          Serve hot or cold. It was really yummy with biscotti.

{September 22, 2008}   Custard pops anyone ??????????????

Custard is my husband’s favourite. It’s been so many days since I made it. So I decided to make it.It was good taste wise but It was not so good look wise.  So I didn’t feel like giving it to him and I couldn’t waste it either. So I thought I will prepare pops.

Ingredients:

Custard pops

Method:

  • Prepare custard according package instructions. (I used indian custard powder to do this).
  • Let it cool down completely.
  • Fill up each pop cup with custard and fruits if u like.
  • Freeze for about 6-8 hrs.
  • Take out from the freezer and put it in the refrigerator for about 30-45 mts.
  • Take it out and you will get perfect custard pops.
  • I felt this was more fun way to eat than regular way.

My daughter and husband loved it. I hope you will enjoy it too.
