Our weekend was fun and busy. We decided to take our 9 month old daughter to the beach on Saturday. She woke us up by patting our faces and it was already 8 in the morning. By the time we reached the beach it was already lunch time. We had a nice lunch and started shopping. We took her to beach. It was so much fun to see her expressions. We played there for sometime and came back home by 10 in the night. Sunday was pretty lazy. My husband prepared his famous burgers. So no work for me. So how was your weekend? About the curd curry, it is my mom’s recipe. I hope you will enjoy it as much as i do. We call it “challa chaaru” because it cools your body. Here is the recipe……..
Curd curry:
Ingredients:
1 cup curd
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup onions slit lengthwise
4 small green chillies
1 clove of garlic
3 sprigs of coriander leaves
1/4 tsp jeera
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
Pinch of turmeric
Salt according to taste
2 tbsp oil
Method:
Grind green chillies and garlic.
Take a bowl and put curd in it and add water. Mix it so that there are no lumps.
Add onions and salt to the curd.
Heat the oil.
Add jeera and mustard seeds.
After they splutter add green chillies and garlic paste.
Fry for a minute or until raw smell is gone.
Add turmeric and off the stove.
Add everything to the curd.
Do not heat the curd. It will spoil the taste of the curd.
